धातैव खलु भूतानां सुखदुःखे परियाप्रिये दधाति सर्वम ईशानः पुरस्ताच छुक्रम उच्चरन ।। ३-३१-२१ ।।

sanskrit

'The Supreme Lord, the ultimate authority, decrees the well-being and suffering of all beings even before their birth, guided by their deeds, which are like seeds destined to grow into the tree of their lives.' ।। 3-31-21 ।।

english translation

dhAtaiva khalu bhUtAnAM sukhaduHkhe pariyApriye dadhAti sarvama IzAnaH purastAca chukrama uccarana || 3-31-21 ||
