हिंस्यात करॊधाद अवध्यांश च वध्यान संपूजयेद अपि आत्मानम अपि च करुद्धः परेषयेद यमसादनम ॥ ३-३०-६ ॥
'Out of anger, a man may kill one who deserves to live and revere one who deserves to be punished. In his rage, he may even consign his own soul to the realm of Yama, the god of death.' ॥ 3-30-6 ॥
english translation
एतान दॊषान परपश्यद्भिर जितः करॊधॊ मनीषिभिः इच्छद्भिः परमं शरेय इह चामुत्र चॊत्तमम ॥ ३-३०-७ ॥
'Recognizing these faults, the wise restrain their anger, seeking the highest prosperity in this life and the next.' ॥ 3-30-7 ॥
english translation
तं करॊधं वर्जितं धीरैः कथम अस्मद्विधश चरेत एतद दरौपदि संधाय न मे मन्युः परवर्धते ॥ ३-३०-८ ॥
'It is for this reason that those with tranquil minds have renounced wrath. How then can one like us give in to it? O daughter of Drupada, reflecting on this, my anger remains calm.' ॥ 3-30-8 ॥
english translation
आत्मानं च परं चैव तरायते महतॊ भयात करुध्यन्तम अप्रतिक्रुध्यन दवयॊर एष चिकित्सकः ॥ ३-३०-९ ॥
'One who does not act against a man overcome with anger frees both himself and others from great fear. Such a person is truly a healer of the two parties involved.' ॥ 3-30-9 ॥

मूढॊ यदि कलिश्यमानः करुध्यते ऽशक्तिमान नरः बलीयसां मनुष्याणां तयजत्य आत्मानम अन्ततः ॥ ३-३०-१० ॥
'If a weak man, oppressed by others, foolishly becomes angry with those stronger than himself, he ultimately becomes the cause of his own destruction.' ॥ 3-30-10 ॥
