कषन्तव्यम एव सततं पुरुषेण विजानता यदा हि कषमते सर्वं बरह्म संपद्यते तदा ॥ ३-३०-४१ ॥

'A wise person should always practice forgiveness, for by embracing it fully, they attain Brahma. The world belongs to those who are forgiving, and so does the next.' ॥ 3-30-41 ॥

english translation

kaSantavyama eva satataM puruSeNa vijAnatA yadA hi kaSamate sarvaM barahma saMpadyate tadA ॥ 3-30-41 ॥

कषमावताम अयं लॊकः परश चैव कषमावताम इह संमानम ऋच्छन्ति परत्र च शुभां गतिम ॥ ३-३०-४२ ॥

'The world belongs to those who are forgiving, and the next world is also theirs. The forgiving earn respect in this life and attain a state of blessedness in the life to come.' ॥ 3-30-42 ॥

येषां मन्युर मनुष्याणां कषमया निहितस तदा तेषां परतरे लॊकास तस्मात कषान्तिः परा मता ॥ ३-३०-४३ ॥

'Those humans whose anger is subdued by forgiveness, For them, there are higher worlds; therefore, forgiveness is considered supreme.' ॥ 3-30-43 ॥

इति गीताः काश्यपेन गाथा नित्यं कषमावताम शरुत्वा गाथाः कषमायास तवं तुष्य दरौपदि मा करुधः ॥ ३-३०-४४ ॥

'These are the verses sung by Kashyapa about those who are ever-forgiving. Having heard them, O Draupadi, be content and embrace forgiveness.' ॥ 3-30-44 ॥

पितामहः शांतनवः शमं संपूजयिष्यति आचार्यॊ विदुरः कषत्ता शमम एव वदिष्यतः कृपश च संजयश चैव शमम एव वदिष्यतः ॥ ३-३०-४५ ॥

'Do not give in to your anger! Our grandsire, the son of Santanu, will revere peace; Krishna, the son of Devaki, will uphold peace; the preceptor Drona and Vidura, the Kshatriya, will both advocate for peace; and Kripa and Sanjaya will also teach the value of peace.' ॥ 3-30-45 ॥

pitAmahaH zAMtanavaH zamaM saMpUjayiSyati AcAryò viduraH kaSattA zamama eva vadiSyataH kRpaza ca saMjayaza caiva zamama eva vadiSyataH ॥ 3-30-45 ॥
