यथा कुन्ती तथा माद्री विशेषॊ नास्ति मे तयॊः मातृभ्यां समम इच्छामि नकुलॊ यक्ष जीवतु ।। ३-२९७-७३ ।।

sanskrit

'My father had two wives—Kunti and Madri. Let both be blessed with surviving sons—that is my wish. As Kunti is to me, so is Madri; I see no difference between them. I wish to act with equal regard for both my mothers. Therefore, let Nakula live!' ।। 3-297-73 ।।

english translation

yathA kuntI tathA mAdrI vizeSò nAsti me tayòH mAtRbhyAM samama icchAmi nakulò yakSa jIvatu || 3-297-73 ||
