तरुणादित्यसंकाशं हेमवर्म धरं तथा मृष्टकुण्डलयुक्तेन वदनेन विराजिता ॥ ३-२९३-६ ॥
'And there he beheld a boy, radiant like the rising sun. The infant was clad in golden armor and looked exceedingly beautiful, his face adorned with shining earrings.' ॥ 3-293-6 ॥

ससूतॊ भार्यया सार्धं विस्मयॊत्फुल्ललॊचनः अङ्कम आरॊप्य तं बालं भार्यां वचनम अब्रवीत ॥ ३-२९३-७ ॥
'Thereupon, the charioteer and his wife were filled with such astonishment that their eyes widened in wonder. Taking the infant onto his lap, Adhiratha turned to his wife and said:' ॥ 3-293-7 ॥

इदम अत्यद्भुतं भीरु यतॊ जातॊ ऽसमि भामिनि दृष्टवान देवगर्भॊ ऽयं मन्ये ऽसमान समुपागतः ॥ ३-२९३-८ ॥
'Ever since my birth, O timid lady, I have never beheld such a marvel. This child who has come to us must surely be of divine origin.' ॥ 3-293-8 ॥
english translation
अनपत्यस्य पुत्रॊ ऽयं देवैर दत्तॊ धरुवं मम इत्य उक्त्वा तं ददौ पुत्रं राधायैर स महीपते ॥ ३-२९३-९ ॥
'Sonless as I am, it is the gods, no doubt, who have sent him to me! Saying this, O lord of the earth, he gave the infant to Rādhā.' ॥ 3-293-9 ॥

परतिजग्राह तं राधा विधिवद दिव्यरूपिणम पुत्रं कमलगर्भाभं देवगर्भं शरिया वृतम ॥ ३-२९३-१० ॥
'And thereupon, Rādhā, in accordance with sacred custom, adopted that child — divine in origin, radiant as the filaments of a lotus, and endowed with surpassing beauty and grace.' ॥ 3-293-10 ॥
