[सत्यवान] वनं न गतपूर्वं ते दुःखः पन्थाश च भामिनि वरतॊपवासक्षामा च कथं पद्भ्यां गमिष्यसि ॥ ३-२८०-२० ॥

sanskrit

'Hearing her words, Satyavan said, 'You have never ventured into the forest before, O gentle lady—and the forest paths are difficult and rough! Besides, you have grown weak from the fast undertaken for your vow—how then will you be able to walk such a distance on foot?'' ॥ 3-280-20 ॥

english translation

[satyavAna] vanaM na gatapUrvaM te duHkhaH panthAza ca bhAmini varatòpavAsakSAmA ca kathaM padbhyAM gamiSyasi ॥ 3-280-20 ॥
