अद्य तद दिवसं चेति हुत्वा दीप्तं हुताशनम युगमात्रॊदिते सूर्ये कृत्वा पौर्वाह्णिकाः करियाः ॥ ३-२८०-१० ॥

'As the sun rose just a couple of handbreadths into the sky, Savitri reflected, 'This is the appointed day.' She then completed her morning rituals and made offerings into the radiant sacred fire.' ॥ 3-280-10 ॥

english translation

adya tada divasaM ceti hutvA dIptaM hutAzanama yugamAtròdite sUrye kRtvA paurvAhNikAH kariyAH ॥ 3-280-10 ॥
