[अष्वपति] अपत्यार्थः समारम्भः कृतॊ धर्मेप्सया मया पुत्रा मे बहवॊ देवि भवेयुः कुलभावनाः ॥ ३-२७७-१४ ॥
'Then Ashvapati replied: 'With the aim of fulfilling righteousness, O goddess, I have engaged in this austerity. May I be blessed with many sons, noble and worthy of my royal house.'' ॥ 3-277-14 ॥
