शतशॊ नैरृतान वन्या जघ्नुर वन्यांश च नैरृताः नैरृतास तत्र वध्यन्ते परायशॊ न तु वानराः ॥ ३-२७१-२७ ॥
'Hundreds of Rakshasas were slain by the forest dwellers, while many of the latter were also killed by the former. Yet, the Rakshasas suffered a far greater loss in terms of slain warriors than the monkeys.' ॥ 3-271-27 ॥
