पतन्त्या स तया वेगाद राक्षसाशनि नादया हृतॊत्तमाङ्गॊ ददृशे वातरुग्ण इव दरुमः ॥ ३-२७०-४ ॥

sanskrit

'Struck by the sheer force of that weapon, which rushed forth like a thunderbolt, Prahasta's head was severed, and he fell, resembling a mighty tree torn asunder by the wind.' ॥ 3-270-4 ॥

english translation

patantyA sa tayA vegAda rAkSasAzani nAdayA hRtòttamAGgò dadRze vAtarugNa iva darumaH ॥ 3-270-4 ॥
