यॊ ऽसौ कुलाधमॊ मूढॊ मया राज्ये ऽभिषेचितः सर्ववानरगॊपुच्छा यम ऋक्षाश च भजन्ति वै ॥ ३-२६६-६ ॥
'That very one, whom I raised to the throne, to whom all apes, monkeys, and bears owe allegiance.' ॥ 3-266-6 ॥
english translation
यदर्थं निहतॊ वाली मया रघुकुलॊद्वह तवया सह महाबाहॊ किष्किन्धॊपवने तदा ॥ ३-२६६-७ ॥
'For his sake, O mighty-armed scion of the Raghu race, I slew Vāli in the forests of Kiṣkindhā, with your aid!' ॥ 3-266-7 ॥
english translation
कृतघ्नं तम अहं मन्ये वानरापसदं भुवि यॊ माम एवंगतॊ मूढॊ न जानीते ऽदय लक्ष्मण ॥ ३-२६६-८ ॥
'I regard that worst of monkeys on earth to be highly ungrateful, for, O Lakṣmaṇa, that wretch has now forgotten me, even though I am sunk in such distress!' ॥ 3-266-8 ॥
english translation
असौ मन्ये न जानीते समयप्रतिपादनम कृतॊपकारं मां नूनम अवमन्याल्पया धिया ॥ ३-२६६-९ ॥
'I think he is unwilling to fulfill his pledge, disregarding, through the dullness of his understanding, one who has done him such services!' ॥ 3-266-9 ॥
english translation
यदि तावद अनुद्युक्तः शेते कामसुखात्मकः नेतव्यॊ वालिमार्गेण सर्वभूतगतिं तवया ॥ ३-२६६-१० ॥
'If you find him indifferent, indulging in sensual pleasures, you must then send him, along the path that Vāli was made to follow, to the common fate of all creatures!' ॥ 3-266-10 ॥
