स संपातिस तदा राजञ शरुत्वा सुमहद अप्रियम विषण्णचेताः पप्रच्छ पुनर अस्मान अरिंदम ॥ ३-२६६-५१ ॥
'And, O king, upon hearing this distressing news from us, the powerful Sampati was deeply afflicted. He then asked again, saying;' ॥ 3-266-51 ॥
english translation
कः स रामः कथं सीता जटायुश च कथं हतः इच्छामि सर्वम एवैतच छरॊतुं पलवगसत्तमाः ॥ ३-२६६-५२ ॥
'Who is this Rama, and why was Sita abducted? How was Jatayu slain? O foremost of monkeys, I wish to hear everything in detail!' ॥ 3-266-52 ॥
english translation
तस्याहं सर्वम एवैतं भवतॊ वयसनागमम परायॊपवेशने चैव हेतुं विस्तरतॊ ऽबरुवम ॥ ३-२६६-५३ ॥
'We then informed him of everything regarding your calamity and also the reason behind our vow of starvation.' ॥ 3-266-53 ॥
english translation
सॊ ऽसमान उत्थापयाम आस वाक्येनानेन पक्षिराज रावणॊ विदितॊ मह्यं लङ्का चास्य महापुरी ॥ ३-२६६-५४ ॥
'The king of birds then urged us to abandon our vow with the following words: Ravana is, indeed, known to me. Lanka is his capital.' ॥ 3-266-54 ॥

दृष्टा पारे समुद्रस्य तरिकूटगिरिकन्दरे भवित्री तत्र वैदेही न मे ऽसत्य अत्र विचारणा ॥ ३-२६६-५५ ॥
'I saw it on the other side of the sea, in a valley of the Trikuta hills. Sita must be there; I have little doubt of it!' ॥ 3-266-55 ॥
