इत्य एवं वानरेन्द्रास ते समाजग्मुः सहस्रशः दिशस तिस्रॊ विचित्याथ न तु ये दक्षिणां गताः ।। ३-२६६-२२ ।।

sanskrit

'And soon, thousands of monkey chiefs began to return after carefully searching the three quarters of the earth— the North, the East, and the West. But those who had gone towards the South did not return.' ।। 3-266-22 ।।

english translation

itya evaM vAnarendrAsa te samAjagmuH sahasrazaH dizasa tisrò vicityAtha na tu ye dakSiNAM gatAH || 3-266-22 ||
