निहत्य गृध्रराजं स छिन्नाभ्र शिखरॊपमम ऊर्ध्वम आचक्रमे सीतां गृहीत्वाङ्केन राक्षसः ॥ ३-२६३-६ ॥
'Having slain the king of the vultures, whose size was like a mountain peak rising above the clouds, the Rakshasa lifted himself high into the air with Sita on his lap.' ॥ 3-263-6 ॥
english translation
nihatya gRdhrarAjaM sa chinnAbhra zikharòpamama Urdhvama Acakrame sItAM gRhItvAGkena rAkSasaH ॥ 3-263-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयत्र यत्र तु वैदेही पश्यत्य आश्रममण्डलम सरॊ वा सरितं वापि तत्र मुञ्चति भूषणम ॥ ३-२६३-७ ॥
'The princess of Videha, as she was carried away, dropped an ornament wherever she saw an asylum of ascetics, a lake, a river, or a tank.' ॥ 3-263-7 ॥

yatra yatra tu vaidehI pazyatya AzramamaNDalama sarò vA saritaM vApi tatra muJcati bhUSaNama ॥ 3-263-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसा ददर्श गिरिप्रस्थे पञ्चवानरपुंगवान तत्र वासॊ महद दिव्यम उत्ससर्ज मनस्विनी ॥ ३-२६३-८ ॥
'And seeing on the summit of a mountain five of the foremost monkeys, that intelligent lady dropped a piece of her costly attire among them.' ॥ 3-263-8 ॥

sA dadarza giriprasthe paJcavAnarapuMgavAna tatra vAsò mahada divyama utsasarja manasvinI ॥ 3-263-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत तेषां वानरेन्द्राणां पपात पवनॊद्धुतम मध्ये सुपीतं पञ्चानां विद्युन मेघान्तरे यथा ॥ ३-२६३-९ ॥
'That beautiful yellow piece of cloth, fluttering through the air, fell among the five foremost monkeys, like lightning striking from the clouds.' ॥ 3-263-9 ॥

tata teSAM vAnarendrANAM papAta pavanòddhutama madhye supItaM paJcAnAM vidyuna meghAntare yathA ॥ 3-263-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं हृतायां वैदेह्यां रामॊ हत्वा महामृगम निवृत्तॊ ददृशे धीमान भरातरं लक्ष्मणं तदा ॥ ३-२६३-१० ॥
'As Sita was being carried away, the wise Rama, after slaying the great deer, retraced his steps and soon encountered his brother Lakshmana on the way.' ॥ 3-263-10 ॥
