विभीषणस तु धर्मात्मा सतां धर्मम अनुस्मरन अन्वगच्छन महाराज शरिया परमया युतः ॥ ३-२५९-३६ ॥
'The pious Vibhishana, O King, adhering to the path of the righteous and endowed with great splendor, followed Kuvera.' ॥ 3-259-36 ॥

तस्मै स भगवांस तुष्टॊ भराता भरात्रे धनेश्वरः सेनापत्यं ददौ धीमान यक्षराक्षस सेनयॊः ॥ ३-२५९-३७ ॥
'That revered Lord of Wealth, greatly pleased with his younger brother, appointed him as the commander of the Yaksha and Rakshasa armies.' ॥ 3-259-37 ॥
english translation
राक्षसाः पुरुषादाश च पिशाचाश च महाबलाः सर्वे समेत्य राजानम अभ्यषिञ्चद दशाननम ॥ ३-२५९-३८ ॥

दशग्रीवस तु दैत्यानां देवानां च बलॊत्कटः आक्रम्य रत्नान्य अहरत कामरूपी विहंगमः ॥ ३-२५९-३९ ॥
'Ravana, with the ability to assume any form at will and possessing immense power, was also capable of soaring through the air. He waged war against the gods and the Daityas, seizing all their valuable possessions.' ॥ 3-259-39 ॥

रावयाम आस लॊकान यत तस्माद रावण उच्यते दशग्रीवः कामबलॊ देवानां भयम आदधत ॥ ३-२५९-४० ॥
'Having terrified all beings, he came to be known as Ravana. With the ability to summon any form of strength, Ravana instilled fear even in the gods.' ॥ 3-259-40 ॥
