ततस तु राजा सुन्धूनां वार्द्धक्षत्रिर मया यशाः विवाह कामः शाल्वेयान परयातः सॊ ऽभवत तदा ॥ ३-२४८-६ ॥
'Meanwhile, the renowned king of Sindhu, the son of Vriddhakshatra, set out for the kingdom of Salwa with the intention of matrimony.' ॥ 3-248-6 ॥
english translation
महता परिबर्हेण राजयॊग्येन संवृतः राजभिर बहुभिः सार्धम उपायात काम्यकं च सः ॥ ३-२४८-७ ॥
'He was dressed in his finest royal attire and accompanied by numerous princes. And the prince halted in the woods of Kamyaka.' ॥ 3-248-7 ॥
english translation
तत्रापश्यत परियां भार्यां पाण्डवानां यशस्विनाम तिष्ठन्तीम आश्रमद्वारि दरौपदीं निर्जने वने ॥ ३-२४८-८ ॥
'In that secluded place, he saw the beautiful Draupadi, the beloved and celebrated wife of the Pandavas, standing at the threshold of the hermitage.' ॥ 3-248-8 ॥

विभ्राजमानां वपुषा बिभ्रतीं रूपम उत्तमम भराजयन्तीं वनॊद्देशं नीलाभ्रम इव विद्युतम ॥ ३-२४८-९ ॥
'She appeared majestic in the unparalleled beauty of her form, casting a radiant glow on the surrounding forest, like lightning illuminating dark clouds.' ॥ 3-248-9 ॥

अप्सरा देवकन्या वा माया वा देवनिर्मिता इति कृत्वाञ्जलिं सर्वे ददृशुस ताम अनिन्दिताम ॥ ३-२४८-१० ॥
'And those who beheld her wondered, 'Is this an Apsara, a daughter of the gods, or a celestial illusion?' With this thought, they joined their hands in reverence, gazing upon her flawless and perfect beauty.' ॥ 3-248-10 ॥
