एष वीराष्टकः परॊक्तः सकन्द मातृगणॊद्भवः छाग वक्त्रेण सहितॊ नवकः परिकीर्यते ।। ३-२१७-११ ।।

sanskrit

'Renowned as the eighth hero among the sons of Skanda's Mothers, he is also counted as the ninth when the being with the goat-like face is included.' ।। 3-217-11 ।।

'It is said that the sixth face of Skanda bore the likeness of a goat. That face, O King, is placed in the center of the six, and it is continuously revered by the Mother.' ।। 3-217-12 ।।

SaSThaM chAgamayaM vaktraM sakandasyaiveti viddhi tata SaSa Sirò 'bhayantaraM rAjana nityaM mAtRgaNArcitama || 3-217-12 ||

'O ruler of men, these virtuous and wondrous events occurred on the fifth day of the bright half of the lunar month, while on the sixth, a fierce and terrifying battle took place at that very location.' ।। 3-217-14 ।।
