तत सकन्नं तेजसा तत्र संभृतं जनयत सुतम ऋषिभिः पूजितं सकन्नम अनयत सकन्दतां ततः ।। ३-२१४-१६ ।।

sanskrit

'And when thrown there, it produced a male child endowed with great power. Because it was regarded by the Rishis as cast off, the child born from it came to be known by the name of Skanda.' ।। 3-214-16 ।।

english translation

tata sakannaM tejasA tatra saMbhRtaM janayata sutama RSibhiH pUjitaM sakannama anayata sakandatAM tataH || 3-214-16 ||

'On the second lunar day, it first assumed a form, and by the third day, it grew to the size of a small child. On the fourth day, the limbs of Guha (Skanda) were fully developed.' ।। 3-214-18 ।।
