[मार्क] आपस्य मुदिता भार्या सहस्य परमा परिया भूपतिर भुव भर्ता च जनयत पावकं परम ।। ३-२१२-१ ।।

sanskrit

'Markandeya continued, "Mudita, the beloved wife of the fire-god Swaha, resided in the waters. Swaha, who ruled over the earth and sky, begot through her a highly revered and sacred fire named Advanta."' ।। 3-212-1 ।।

english translation

[mArka] Apasya muditA bhAryA sahasya paramA pariyA bhUpatira bhuva bhartA ca janayata pAvakaM parama || 3-212-1 ||

hk transliteration

भूतानां चापि सर्वेषां यं पराहुः पावकं पतिम आत्मा भुवन भर्तेति सान्वयेषु दविजातिषु ।। ३-२१२-२ ।।

sanskrit

'In all beings, they proclaim him as the purifying lord, the soul and sustainer of the universe, among the twice-born lineages.' ।। 3-212-2 ।।

english translation

bhUtAnAM cApi sarveSAM yaM parAhuH pAvakaM patima AtmA bhuvana bharteti sAnvayeSu davijAtiSu || 3-212-2 ||

hk transliteration

महतां चैव भूतानां सर्वेषाम इह यः पतिः भगवान स महातेजा नित्यं चरति पावकः ।। ३-२१२-३ ।।

sanskrit

'Among all great beings, he who is the lord — that blessed one of great radiance — eternally moves as the purifying fire.' ।। 3-212-3 ।।

english translation

mahatAM caiva bhUtAnAM sarveSAma iha yaH patiH bhagavAna sa mahAtejA nityaM carati pAvakaH || 3-212-3 ||

hk transliteration

अग्निर गृहपतिर नाम नित्यं यज्ञेषु पूज्यते हुतं वहति यॊ हव्यम अस्य लॊकस्य पावकः ।। ३-२१२-४ ।।

sanskrit

'And that fire, known as Grihapati, is continually worshipped in all sacrifices, carrying all the offerings made in this world.' ।। 3-212-4 ।।

english translation

agnira gRhapatira nAma nityaM yajJeSu pUjyate hutaM vahati yò havyama asya lòkasya pAvakaH || 3-212-4 ||

hk transliteration

अपां गर्भॊ महाभागः सहपुत्रॊ महाद्भुतः भूपतिर भुव भर्ता च महतः पतिर उच्यते ।। ३-२१२-५ ।।

sanskrit

'The great son of Swaha, the magnificent Adbhuta fire, is the soul of the waters, the prince and regent of the sky, and the lord of all things great. His son, the Bharata fire, consumes the bodies of all creatures.' ।। 3-212-5 ।।

english translation

apAM garbhò mahAbhAgaH sahaputrò mahAdbhutaH bhUpatira bhuva bhartA ca mahataH patira ucyate || 3-212-5 ||
