यॊ ऽधयापयेद अधीयीत यजेद वा याजयीत वा दद्याद वापि यथाशक्ति तं देवा बराह्मणं विदुः ॥ ३-१९७-३५ ॥
'The gods recognize him as a Brahmana who not only engages in self-study and teaches others, but also performs sacrifices for himself and officiates at others' sacrifices, generously giving to the best of his ability.' ॥ 3-197-35 ॥
