सत्रीणां धर्मात सुघॊराद धि नान्यं पश्यामि दुष्करम साध्व आचाराः सत्रियॊ बरह्मन यत कुर्वन्ति सदादृताः दुष्करं बत कुर्वन्ति पितरॊ मातरश च वै ।। ३-१९६-८ ।।

sanskrit

'I see nothing more difficult than the steadfast virtue of chaste women. O Brahmana, the duties that women of good character diligently uphold, and the conduct that virtuous sons show towards their fathers and mothers, both seem to me to be the most difficult to perform.' ।। 3-196-8 ।।

english translation

satrINAM dharmAta sughòrAda dhi nAnyaM pazyAmi duSkarama sAdhva AcArAH satriyò barahmana yata kurvanti sadAdRtAH duSkaraM bata kurvanti pitarò mAtaraza ca vai || 3-196-8 ||
