[मार्क] शृणु राजन्न इदं सर्वं यथावृत्तं नराधिप एकार्णवे तदा घॊरे नष्टे सथावरजङ्गमे परनष्टेषु च भूतेषु सर्वेषु भरतर्षभ ॥ ३-१९४-८ ॥

sanskrit

'Markandeya said, "O monarch, listen to everything as it truly happened, O ruler of men, as I narrate the details with utmost sincerity, O thou of great wisdom! When the entire world became a vast ocean and all creatures, both mobile and immobile, were destroyed, when, O bull of the Bharata race, the entire creation came to its end ."' ॥ 3-194-8 ॥

[mArka] zRNu rAjanna idaM sarvaM yathAvRttaM narAdhipa ekArNave tadA ghòre naSTe sathAvarajaGgame paranaSTeSu ca bhUteSu sarveSu bharatarSabha ॥ 3-194-8 ॥
