कथां वेत्सि मुने दिव्यां मनुष्यॊरगरक्षसाम एतद इच्छाम्य अहं शरॊतुं तत्त्वेन कथितं दविज ॥ ३-१९२-३ ॥
'O sage, you know the divine stories of humans, nagas (serpents), and rakshasas. I wish to hear this told truthfully, O twice-born one.' ॥ 3-192-3 ॥
