पानीयं भॊजनं चैव याचमानास तदाध्वगाः न लप्स्यन्ते निवासं च निरस्ताः पथि शेरते ॥ ३-१८८-८० ॥
'And travelers, unable to obtain food, drink, or shelter even when they ask for these, will lie down on the wayside, refraining from urging their solicitations.' ॥ 3-188-80 ॥
