सॊ ऽहम ऐश्वर्यमॊहेन मदाविष्टॊ युधिष्ठिर पतितः परतिसंबुद्धस तवां तु संबॊधयाम्य अहम ॥ ३-१७८-३१ ॥
'Thus, O Yudhishthira, overpowered by the allure of prosperity, I too fell from my exalted state. Having regained my self-awareness, I now impart this wisdom to you.' ॥ 3-178-31 ॥
english translation
sò 'hama aizvaryamòhena madAviSTò yudhiSThira patitaH paratisaMbuddhasa tavAM tu saMbòdhayAmya ahama ॥ 3-178-31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकृतं कार्यं महाराज तवया मम परंतप कषीणः शापः सुकृच्छ्रॊ मे तवया संभाष्य साधुना ॥ ३-१७८-३२ ॥
'O victorious king, you have done me a great favor. By conversing with your virtuous self, my painful curse has been atoned for.' ॥ 3-178-32 ॥
english translation
kRtaM kAryaM mahArAja tavayA mama paraMtapa kaSINaH zApaH sukRcchrò me tavayA saMbhASya sAdhunA ॥ 3-178-32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअहं हि दिवि दिव्येन विमानेन चरन पुरा अभिमानेन मत्तः सन कं चिन नान्यम अचिन्तयम ॥ ३-१७८-३३ ॥
'In the past, while I resided in heaven in a celestial chariot, indulging in my pride, I thought of nothing else.' ॥ 3-178-33 ॥
english translation
ahaM hi divi divyena vimAnena carana purA abhimAnena mattaH sana kaM cina nAnyama acintayama ॥ 3-178-33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबरह्मर्षिदेवगन्धर्वयक्षराक्षस किंनराः करान मम परयच्छन्ति सर्वे तरैलॊक्यवासिनः ॥ ३-१७८-३४ ॥
'Brahmarshis, Devas, Gandharvas, Yakshas, Rakshasas, and Kinnaras—all the beings of the three worlds—would offer me tribute.' ॥ 3-178-34 ॥
english translation
barahmarSidevagandharvayakSarAkSasa kiMnarAH karAna mama parayacchanti sarve tarailòkyavAsinaH ॥ 3-178-34 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचक्षुषा यं परपश्यामि पराणिनं पृथिवीपतौ तस्य तेजॊ हराम्य आशु तद धि दृष्टिबलं मम ॥ ३-१७८-३५ ॥
'O lord of the earth, such was the power of my gaze that wherever I directed it, I instantly destroyed the strength of that creature.' ॥ 3-178-35 ॥

cakSuSA yaM parapazyAmi parANinaM pRthivIpatau tasya tejò harAmya Azu tada dhi dRSTibalaM mama ॥ 3-178-35 ॥
