[वै] ततस तान परिविश्वस्तान वसतस तत्र पाण्डवान गतेषु तेषु रक्षः सुभीमसेनात्मजे ऽपि च ॥ ३-१५४-१ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued: "Thus, dwelling with the Brahmanas on that sacred mountain and awaiting Arjuna's return, the Pandavas grew assured of their safety. During this time, all the Rakshasas, along with Bhima's son, had departed."' ॥ 3-154-1 ॥
english translation
रहितान भीमसेनेन कदा चित तान यदृच्छया जहार धर्मराजानं यमौ कृष्णां च राक्षसः ॥ ३-१५४-२ ॥
'One day, in Bhimasena's absence, a Rakshasa suddenly seized Yudhishthira the just, the twins, and Krishna.' ॥ 3-154-2 ॥
english translation
बराह्मणॊ मन्त्रकुशलः सर्वास्त्रेष्व अस्त्रवित्तमः इति बरुवन पाण्डवेयान पर्युपास्ते सम नित्यदा ॥ ३-१५४-३ ॥
'That Rakshasa, disguised as a Brahmana, had been constantly in the company of the Pandavas, claiming to be a learned Brahmana skilled in counsel and well-versed in all the scriptures.' ॥ 3-154-3 ॥
english translation
परीक्षमाणः पार्थानां कलापानि धनूंषि च अन्तरं समभिप्रेप्सुर नाम्ना खयातॊ जटासुरः ॥ ३-१५४-४ ॥
'His intent was to seize the bows, quivers, and other martial equipment belonging to the Pandavas, and he had been watching for an opportunity of ravishing Draupadi. And that wicked and sinful one was named Jatasura ' ॥ 3-154-4 ॥
english translation
स भीमसेने निष्क्रान्ते मृगयार्थम अरिंदमे अन्यद रूपं समास्थाय विकृतं भैरवं महत ॥ ३-१५४-५ ॥
'When Bhimasena departed for hunting, he assumed another form, a terrifying and transformed shape.' ॥ 3-154-5 ॥
