वैडूर्य वरनालैश च बहु चित्रैर मनॊहरैः हंश कारण्डवॊद्धूतैः सृजद्भिर अमलं रजः ॥ ३-१५१-६ ॥
'It was adorned with many colorful, enchanting lotuses, with stalks resembling the hue of jade, and disturbed by swans and geese, scattering pure, immaculate dust.' ॥ 3-151-6 ॥

'This lake was the divine playground of the noble-hearted Kubera, the king of the Yakshas. It was highly esteemed by the Gandharvas, Apsaras, and the celestials.' ॥ 3-151-7 ॥

AkrIDaM yakSarAjasya kuberasya mahAtmanaH gandharvaira apsaròbhiza ca devaiza ca paramArcitAma ॥ 3-151-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसेविताम ऋषिभिर दिव्यां यक्षैः किंपुरुषैर अथा राक्षसैः किंनरैश चैव गुप्तां वैश्रवणेन च ॥ ३-१५१-८ ॥
'It was frequented by celestial sages, Yakshas, Kimpurushas, Rakshasas, and Kinnaras, and was well-guarded by Kubera.' ॥ 3-151-8 ॥

'As soon as he beheld the river and the celestial lake, Bhimasena, the mighty son of Kunti, was overwhelmed with immense delight.' ॥ 3-151-9 ॥

'In accordance with the command of their king, hundreds of thousands of Rakshasas, known as the Krodhavasas, guarded the lake, clad in uniform and armed with a variety of weapons.' ॥ 3-151-10 ॥
