वार्ता धर्मे हय अवर्तन्त्यॊ विनश्येयुर इमाः परजाः सुप्रवृत्तैर तरिभिर हय एतैर धर्मैः सूयन्ति वै परजाः ।। ३-१४९-३३ ।।

sanskrit

'If people fail to follow their prescribed vocations, they perish. However, by faithfully adhering to the three professions, they uphold righteousness. The religion of the Brahmanas is rooted in the knowledge of the soul, and the nature of their order is universally consistent.' ।। 3-149-33 ।।

english translation

vArtA dharme haya avartantyò vinazyeyura imAH parajAH supravRttaira taribhira haya etaira dharmaiH sUyanti vai parajAH || 3-149-33 ||
