ततः परतिष्ठिते रामे वीरॊ ऽयं याचितॊ मया यावद रामकथा वीर भवेल लॊकेषु शत्रुहन तावज जीवेयम इत्य एवं तथास्त्व इति च सॊ ऽबरवीत ॥ ३-१४७-३७ ॥
'Then Rama, the son of Raghu, along with his devoted wife, returned to his impregnable city, Ayodhya, and took up his residence there as the sovereign of men. Established firmly in his kingdom, Rama, the foremost of kings, ruled with justice. Afterward, I sought a boon from the lotus-eyed Rama, saying, "O slayer of foes, may I live as long as the tale of thy deeds endures on this earth!"' ॥ 3-147-37 ॥
