धर्मराजां च धौम्यं च राज पुत्रीं यमौ तथा एकॊ ऽपय अहम अलं वॊढुं किम उताद्य सहायवान ।। ३-१४५-६ ।।

sanskrit

'Thereupon, Ghatotkacha said, "Even alone, I am capable of carrying Yudhishthira the just, Dhaumya, Krishna, and the twins. How much more so, then, when I have others to assist me?"' ।। 3-145-6 ।।

english translation

dharmarAjAM ca dhaumyaM ca rAja putrIM yamau tathA ekò 'paya ahama alaM vòDhuM kima utAdya sahAyavAna || 3-145-6 ||

hk transliteration

एवम उक्त्वा ततः कृष्णाम उवाह स घतॊत्कचः पाण्डूनां मध्यगॊ वीरः पाण्डवान अपि चापरे ।। ३-१४५-७ ।।

sanskrit

'Having said thus, then the heroic Ghatotkacha carried Draupadi (Krishna), moving in the midst of the Pandavas, while others (carried) the Pandavas themselves.' ।। 3-145-7 ।।

english translation

evama uktvA tataH kRSNAma uvAha sa ghatòtkacaH pANDUnAM madhyagò vIraH pANDavAna api cApare || 3-145-7 ||

hk transliteration

लॊमशः सिद्धमार्गेण जगामानुपम दयुतिः सवेनैवात्म परभावेन दवितीय इव भास्करः ।। ३-१४५-८ ।।

sanskrit

'Vaisampayana said, "Saying this, Ghatotkacha placed Krishna in the midst of the Pandavas, and the other Rakshasas began carrying the Pandavas as well. By his inherent power, Lomasa, radiant and unparalleled in effulgence, moved along the path of the Siddhas, shining like a second sun."' ।। 3-145-8 ।।

english translation

lòmazaH siddhamArgeNa jagAmAnupama dayutiH savenaivAtma parabhAvena davitIya iva bhAskaraH || 3-145-8 ||

hk transliteration

बराह्मणांश चापि तान सर्वा समुपादाय राक्षसाः नियॊगाद राक्षसेन्द्रस्य जग्मुर भीमपराक्रमाः ।। ३-१४५-९ ।।

sanskrit

'And all those powerful rakshasas, by the command of their rakshasa lord (Ghatotkacha), took up all the Brahmanas and departed with great might/prowess.' ।। 3-145-9 ।।

english translation

barAhmaNAMza cApi tAna sarvA samupAdAya rAkSasAH niyògAda rAkSasendrasya jagmura bhImaparAkramAH || 3-145-9 ||

hk transliteration

एवं सुरम अनीयानि वनान्य उपवनानि च आलॊकयन्तस ते जग्मुर विशालां बदरीं परति ।। ३-१४५-१० ।।

sanskrit

'As they traveled, they passed through many enchanting woods and made their way toward the towering jujube tree.' ।। 3-145-10 ।।

english translation

evaM surama anIyAni vanAnya upavanAni ca Alòkayantasa te jagmura vizAlAM badarIM parati || 3-145-10 ||
