दयौः सवित पतति किं भूमौ दीर्यन्ते पर्वता नु किम इति ते मेनिरे सर्वे पवनेन विमॊहिताः ॥ ३-१४३-११ ॥
'Distracted by the fierce gusts of wind, they wondered, "Are the heavens collapsing, or are the earth and mountains being torn asunder?"' ॥ 3-143-11 ॥
english translation
dayauH savita patati kiM bhUmau dIryante parvatA nu kima iti te menire sarve pavanena vimòhitAH ॥ 3-143-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptते यथानन्तरान वृक्षान वल्मीकान विषमाणि च पाणिभिः परिमार्गन्तॊ भीता वायॊर निलिल्यिरे ॥ ३-१४३-१२ ॥
'They, searching through trees, ant-hills, and difficult terrains with their hands, terrified, hid themselves, trembling like leaves in the wind.' ॥ 3-143-12 ॥
english translation
te yathAnantarAna vRkSAna valmIkAna viSamANi ca pANibhiH parimArgantò bhItA vAyòra nililyire ॥ 3-143-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः कार्मुकम उद्यम्य भीमसेनॊ महाबलः कृष्णाम आदाय संगत्या तस्थाव आश्रित्य पादपम ॥ ३-१४३-१३ ॥
'Then, raising his bow, the mighty Bhimasena, taking Krishna along with him, stood firm, leaning against a tree for support.' ॥ 3-143-13 ॥

tataH kArmukama udyamya bhImasenò mahAbalaH kRSNAma AdAya saMgatyA tasthAva Azritya pAdapama ॥ 3-143-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधर्मराजश च धौम्यश च निलिल्याते महावने अग्निहॊत्राण्य उपादाय सहदेवस तु पर्वते ॥ ३-१४३-१४ ॥
'Meanwhile, the just Yudhishthira, accompanied by Dhaumya, quietly made his way into the dense forest. And Sahadeva, carrying the sacred fire with him, sought refuge in a rock.' ॥ 3-143-14 ॥

dharmarAjaza ca dhaumyaza ca nililyAte mahAvane agnihòtrANya upAdAya sahadevasa tu parvate ॥ 3-143-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनकुलॊ बराह्मणाश चान्ये लॊमशश च महातपः वृक्षान आसाद्य संत्रस्तास तत्र तत्र निलिल्यिरे ॥ ३-१४३-१५ ॥
'Nakula, along with Lomasa and the other highly ascetic Brahmanas, stood in fear, each taking shelter under a tree.' ॥ 3-143-15 ॥
