शत्रॊर अपि परपन्नस्य सॊ ऽनृशंसः परतापवान दाताभयस्य भीभत्सुर अमितात्मा महाबलः ॥ ३-१४२-१५ ॥
'Even to an enemy who has surrendered, he, the merciless and mighty, the one of immeasurable soul and great strength, grants refuge and protection.' ॥ 3-142-15 ॥
