एषा गङ्गा सप्त विधा राजते भरतर्षभ सथानं विरजसं रम्यं यत्राग्निर नित्यम इध्यते ॥ ३-१४०-२ ॥

'O son of Kunti, O bull among the descendants of Bharata, before you flow the seven streams of the Ganga. This place is pure and sacred, where Agni burns constantly without interruption.' ॥ 3-140-2 ॥

eSA gaGgA sapta vidhA rAjate bharatarSabha sathAnaM virajasaM ramyaM yatrAgnira nityama idhyate ॥ 3-140-2 ॥
