नवैवॊक्ताः सामिधेन्यः पितॄणां; तथा पराहुर नव यॊगं विषर्गम नवाक्षरा बृहती संप्रदिष्टा; नव यॊगॊ गणनामेति शश्वत ॥ ३-१३४-१५ ॥

'Vandin said, "Nine are the mantras used in kindling the sacrificial fire for the Pitris; nine are the prescribed functions in the processes of creation; nine letters make up the foot of the Vrihati metre; and nine is also the constant number in the calculation of figures."' ।। 3-134-15 ।।

english translation

navaivòktAH sAmidhenyaH pitRRNAM; tathA parAhura nava yògaM viSargama navAkSarA bRhatI saMpradiSTA; nava yògò gaNanAmeti zazvata ॥ 3-134-15 ॥
