मत्स्यः सुप्तॊ न निमिषत्य अन्दं जातं न चॊपति अश्मनॊ हृदयं नास्ति नदीवेगेन वर्धते ।। ३-१३३-२६ ।।

sanskrit

'Ashtavakra said, "It is the fish that does not close its eyes while sleeping; it is the egg that does not move when it is laid; it is the stone that has no heart; and it is the river that increases in its own flow."' ।। 3-133-26 ।।

english translation

matsyaH suptò na nimiSatya andaM jAtaM na còpati azmanò hRdayaM nAsti nadIvegena vardhate || 3-133-26 ||
