यत्र सनात्वा नरश्रेष्ठ धूतपाप्मा भविष्यति इह सारस्वतैर यज्ञैर इष्टवन्तः सुरर्षयः ऋषयश चैव कौन्तेय तथा राजर्षयॊ ऽपि च ॥ ३-१२२-२१ ॥
'Behold this holy Saraswati, revered by those who consider her their only refuge. O most praiseworthy of men! By bathing here, you shall be absolved of all your sins.' ॥ 3-129-21 ॥
english translation
वेदी परजापतेर एषा समन्तात पञ्चयॊजना कुरॊर वै यज्ञशीलस्य कषेत्रम एतन महात्मनः ॥ ३-१२९-२२ ॥
'O son of Kunti! Here, the celestial sages performed the sacrificial rites of the Saraswata king, as did the great sages and royal sages. This is the altar of the Lord of all beings, extending five yojanas on all sides. And this is the sacred field of the magnanimous Kurus, whose custom it was to perform grand sacrifices.' ॥ 3-129-22 ॥
