[लॊमष] इक्ष्वाकूणां कुले जातः सगरॊ नाम पार्थिवः रूपसत्त्वबलॊपेतः स चापुत्रः परतापवान ॥ ३-१०४-६ ॥
'Lomasa said: ‘In the lineage of the Ikshvaku dynasty, there was a ruler of the earth named Sagara, endowed with beauty and strength. Yet, this king, known for his formidable reputation, was without sons, O descendant of Bharata!’' ॥ 3-104-6 ॥
