करॊधात परवृद्धः सहसा भास्करस्य नगॊत्तमः वचस तवानतिक्रामन विन्ध्यः शैलॊ न वर्धते ॥ ३-१०१-१५ ॥

sanskrit

'He was cast down from his heavenly throne, and the mighty Vindhya mountain, in a fit of wrathful rivalry with the sun, began to elevate itself to new heights. Yet, it has since ceased its ascent, unable to defy your command.' ॥ 3-101-15 ॥

english translation

karòdhAta paravRddhaH sahasA bhAskarasya nagòttamaH vacasa tavAnatikrAmana vindhyaH zailò na vardhate ॥ 3-101-15 ॥
