[वय] वैचित्र वीर्यनृपते सत्यम आह यथा भवान दृढं वेद्मि परं पुत्रं परं पुत्रान न विद्यते ॥ ३-१०-४ ॥

sanskrit

'Vyasa said, "O king, son of Vichitravirya, what you say is indeed true. We all understand that a son is the greatest of all possessions and that nothing surpasses the worth of a son."' ॥ 3-10-4 ॥

english translation

[vaya] vaicitra vIryanRpate satyama Aha yathA bhavAna dRDhaM vedmi paraM putraM paraM putrAna na vidyate ॥ 3-10-4 ॥
