दीप्तशूलगदाखडगप्रासतोमरकार्मुकम् । तद्राक्षसबलंघोरभीमंविक्रमपौरुषम् ॥ ६-७५-५६
- the Rakshasa army appeared terrific. Distinguished by wielding shining tridents, maces, swords spears, lances and bows, warriors of frightening valour and prowess - [6-75-56]
english translation
ददृशेज्वलितप्रासंकिङ्किणीशतनादितम् । हेमजालाचितभुजंव्यावेष्टितपरश्वथम् ॥ ६-७५-५७
- were holding shining barbed missiles, hundreds of tiny bells tied to the chariots and elephants were making noise, warriors endowed with arms decorated with gold, their axes being brandished . - [6-75-57]

व्याघूर्णितमहाशस्त्रंबाणसंसक्तकार्मुकम् । गन्धमाल्यमधूत्सेकसम्मोदितमहानिलम् ॥ ६-७५-५८
- mighty weapons being waved about, arrows fitted to the bows and the whole atmosphere rendered fragrant by the abundance of sandal paste, garlands and wine. [6-75-58]

घोरंशूरजनाकीर्णंमहाम्बुदरनिस्स्वनम् । तद्दृष्टवाबलमायातंराक्षसानांसुदारुणं ॥ ६-७५-५९
Seeing the Rakshasa army, which came crowded with gallant warriors, thundered like a huge cloud which was difficult to assail - [6-75-59]

सञ्चचालप्लवङ्गानांबलमुच्चैर्ननाद च । जवेनाफ्लुत्य च पुनस्तद्बलंरक्षसांमहत् ॥ ६-७५-६०
- and the monkey troops coming forward made loud noises with an elevated tone. That large army of Rakshasas on its part went springing forward with all speed - [6-75-60]
