भवद्गतंहिमेराज्यंजीवितंचसुखानिच । तथ्यतद्वचनंश्रुत्वारामोवचनमब्रवीत् ॥ ६-१९-६
''Now my life, kingdom and welfare are at your disposal.'' On hearing those words (of Vibheeshana), Rama spoke these words . - [6-19-6]
english translation
वचसासान्त्वयित्वैनंलोचनाभ्यांपिबन्निव । आख्याहिममतत्त्वेनराक्षसानांबलाबलम् ॥ ६-१९-७
- in a soothing tone and with a refreshing look in his eyes, "Tell me really the strengths and weaknesses of the demons." [6-19-7]
english translation
एवमुक्तंतदारक्षोरामेणाक्लिष्टकर्मणा । रावणस्यबलंसर्वमाख्यातुमुपचक्रमे ॥ ६-१९-८
Then the Rakshasa (Vibheeshana) having heard that Rama of unwearied action would save him proceeded to speak out about the strength of Ravana. [6-19-8]
english translation
अवध्यस्सर्वभूतानांगन्धर्वोरगरक्षसाम् । राजपुत्रदशग्रीवोवरदानात्स्वयंभुवः ॥ ६-१९-९
- "Oh Prince, by virtue of a boon granted by Brahma, the selfborn to the tenheaded Ravana, he cannot be killed by Gandharvas, Rakshasas and by all beings. [6-19-9]
english translation
रावणानन्तरोभ्राताममज्येष्ठश्चवीर्यवान् । कुम्भकर्णोमहातेजाश्शक्रप्रतिबलोयुधि ॥ ६-१९-१०
"My elder brother, the one who is younger to Ravana is a highly valiant one endowed with great prowess. He is Kumbhakarna and equal to Indra in war. [6-19-10]
