दीप्यमानमिवाकाशेविमानंसूर्यवर्चसं । तडित्पताकागहनंदर्शितेन्द्रायुधप्रभम् ॥ ६-१०८-६
- blazing like an aerial car in the sky, with a luster of the sun, filled with lightning-like flags and with a beautiful appearance of a rain-bow - [6-108-6]
english translation
शराधाराविमुञ्चन्तंधारासारमिवाम्बुदम् । तंदृष्टवामेघसङ्काशमापतन्तंरथंरिपोः ॥ ६-१०८-७
- and the rain of arrows falling therefrom resembled the waters loosed by a cloud. Seeing the chariot of his adversary, which bore down upon him like a cloud . - [6-108-7]
english translation
गिरेर्वज्राभिमृष्टस्यदीर्यतस्सदृशस्वनम् । विस्पारयन्वैवेगेनबालचन्द्रानतंधनुः ॥ ६-१०८-८
- with a sound resembling a mountain shattered by lightning, instantly stretching his bow like unto the crescent moon - [6-108-8]
english translation
उवाचसारथिंरामंसहस्राक्षस्यमातलिम् । मातलेपश्यसम्रद्धमापतन्तंरथंरिपोः ॥ ६-१०८-९
- Rama said to Matali, the charioteer of that God of a Thousand Eyes (Indra dev) as follows. "Matali! the enemy's chariot is darting forward hurriedly." [6-108-9]
english translation
यथापसव्यंपततावेगेनमहतापुनः । समरेहन्तुमात्मानंतथानेनकृतामतिः ॥ ६-१०८-१०
"See him coming in the reverse direction with great speed once again. It strikes my mind that he is surely causing his fall." [6-108-10]
