[अ] एवम एतद यथात्थ तवं तपॊ वययकरं तु मे यथा तु मे न नश्येत तपस तन मां परचॊदय ॥ ३-९५-२१ ॥
'Agastya replied, "You are correct in what you say; however, that would deplete my ascetic merit. Please instruct me to do what will preserve my ascetic strength."' ॥ 3-95-21 ॥
english translation
[a] evama etada yathAttha tavaM tapò vayayakaraM tu me yathA tu me na nazyeta tapasa tana mAM paracòdaya ॥ 3-95-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[लॊप] अल्पावशिष्टः कालॊ ऽयम ऋतौ मम तपॊधन न चान्यथाहम इच्छामि तवाम उपेतुं कथं चन ॥ ३-९५-२२ ॥
'Lopamudra then said, "O you who are endowed with the wealth of asceticism, my time is fleeting. However, I do not wish to approach you in any other manner."' ॥ 3-95-22 ॥
english translation
[lòpa] alpAvaziSTaH kAlò 'yama Rtau mama tapòdhana na cAnyathAhama icchAmi tavAma upetuM kathaM cana ॥ 3-95-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन चापि धर्मम इच्छामि विलॊप्तुं ते तपॊधन एतत तु मे यथाकामं संपादयितुम अर्हसि ॥ ३-९५-२३ ॥
'Nor do I wish to diminish your ascetic merit in any way. However, it is fitting for you to fulfill my desires without compromising your virtue.' ॥ 3-95-23 ॥
english translation
na cApi dharmama icchAmi vilòptuM te tapòdhana etata tu me yathAkAmaM saMpAdayituma arhasi ॥ 3-95-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयद्य एष कामः सुभगे तव बुद्ध्या विनिश चितः हन्त गच्छाम्य अहं भद्रे चर कामम इह सथिता ॥ ३-९५-२४ ॥
'Agastya then said, "O blessed one, if this is the resolve you have made in your heart, I will venture out in search of wealth. In the meantime, remain here as you wish."' ॥ 3-95-24 ॥
english translation
yadya eSa kAmaH subhage tava buddhyA viniza citaH hanta gacchAmya ahaM bhadre cara kAmama iha sathitA ॥ 3-95-24 ॥
