यत्र देवैस तपस तप्तं महद इच्छद्भिर आश्रमे गॊकर्णम इति विख्यातं तरिषु लॊकेषु भारत ।। ३-८६-१२ ।।

'In that asylum, the gods performed penances driven by the desire for salvation. In that region lies the lake of Gokarna, renowned across the three worlds.' ।। 3-86-12 ।।

english translation

yatra devaisa tapasa taptaM mahada icchadbhira Azrame gòkarNama iti vikhyAtaM tariSu lòkeSu bhArata || 3-86-12 ||
