गङ्गा यत्र नदी पुण्या यस्यास तीरे भगीरथः अयजत तात बहुभिः करतुभिर भूरिदक्षिणैः ।। ३-८५-१० ।।

sanskrit

'In that direction flows the sacred Ganga, along whose banks Bhagiratha performed many sacrifices, offering abundant gifts to the Brahmanas.' ।। 3-85-10 ।।

english translation

gaGgA yatra nadI puNyA yasyAsa tIre bhagIrathaH ayajata tAta bahubhiH karatubhira bhUridakSiNaiH || 3-85-10 ||
