गङ्गा यत्र नदी पुण्या यस्यास तीरे भगीरथः अयजत तात बहुभिः करतुभिर भूरिदक्षिणैः ॥ ३-८५-१० ॥

sanskrit

'In that direction flows the sacred Ganga, along whose banks Bhagiratha performed many sacrifices, offering abundant gifts to the Brahmanas.' ॥ 3-85-10 ॥

english translation

gaGgA yatra nadI puNyA yasyAsa tIre bhagIrathaH ayajata tAta bahubhiH karatubhira bhUridakSiNaiH ॥ 3-85-10 ॥
