तत्र तरीण्य अग्निकुण्डानि येषां मध्ये च जाह्नवी परयागाद अभिनिष्क्रान्ता सर्वतीर्थपुरस्कृता ॥ ३-८३-६९ ॥
'There, among the three (types of) fire pits, is the Ganges (Jahnavi), which, having emerged from Prayag, is honored above all sacred places.' ॥ 3-83-69 ॥
