ऋषयॊ ऽभयागतास तत्र देव्या भक्त्या तपॊधनाः आतिथ्यं च कृतं तेषां शाकेन किल भारत ततः शाकम्भरीत्य एव नाम तस्याः परतिष्ठितम ॥ ३-८२-१३ ॥

sanskrit

'Attracted by their reverence for the Goddess, many Rishis endowed with ascetic power came there, O Bharata, and were graciously entertained by her with herbs. It is for this reason that they bestowed upon her the name Sakamvari.' ।। 3-82-13 ।।

english translation

RSayò 'bhayAgatAsa tatra devyA bhaktyA tapòdhanAH AtithyaM ca kRtaM teSAM zAkena kila bhArata tataH zAkambharItya eva nAma tasyAH paratiSThitama ॥ 3-82-13 ॥
