इतिहासम इमं चापि कलिनाशनम उच्यते शक्यम आश्वासितुं शरुत्वा तवद्विधेन विशां पते ।। ३-७८-१० ।।

'This tale, recounting the Naga Karkotaka, Damayanti, Nala, and the royal sage Rituparna, serves to vanquish all that is malevolent. O you of enduring glory, this narrative, which dispels the influence of Kali, has the power to bring solace to noble souls like you when they hear it.' ।। 3-78-10 ।।

itihAsama imaM cApi kalinAzanama ucyate zakyama AzvAsituM zarutvA tavadvidhena vizAM pate || 3-78-10 ||
