स निकृत्या जितॊ राजा पुष्करेणेति नः शरुतम वनवासम अदुःखार्हॊ भार्यया नयवसत सह ॥ ३-४९-४० ॥
'We have heard that the king was deceitfully defeated by Pushkara. Afflicted by misfortune, he lived in the forest with his wife.' ॥ 3-49-40 ॥
