संप्रायुध्यद धनुष्कॊट्या कौन्तेयः परवीरहा तद अप्य अस्य धनुर दिव्यं जग्रास गिरिगॊचरः ॥ ३-४०-३९ ॥
'Then the illustrious Arjuna, seizing his bow and pulling the Kirata with the bowstring, struck him with fierce blows that fell like thunderbolts. However, as the son of Kunti began the battle with the end of his bow, the mountaineer swiftly snatched the celestial bow from his grasp.' ॥ 3-40-39 ॥
